Me and my brother trying to find somewhere to hit up and not sure where we might go to. We both thinking about Chesdin? If there is anything anybody can tell us what and what's works out there, or even what's the best spot to put in at and how much if does charge? We will be heading Sunday. Thanks! Any of suggestions also like Powhatan lakes, Diascund, Chic lake?

Briery Creek or Sandy River. 10 hp limit though, but no water skiers, pontoons, or jet skis..

if u fish chesdin expect all the above.

less traffic on upper lake towards the river but u will never be able to navigate through the shallows unless u are with someone else who knows it.

If u do decide to go, put in at seven springs if u don't mind spending a few dollars on fees, free ramp is on dinwiddie side, not too much trouble if u get there early.

depending on what size motor you have its a few miles from the ramps to the river, so plan accordingly. A few creeks and coves along the way but nothing to far from main lake.

Like I stated earlier, briery or sandy... its an hour and change from chesdin but well worth the drive when u compare the bass fishing.

I would go to Briery but those both Briery and Sandy is either 2 or 2 1/2 hours away. I think we decided to put in near Whipponock. I think the ramp cost $7. Yea I'm not feeling the Skiers and the rest but it is what it is. Hopefully we will still have a good and productive day.

Only time I've been on the public ramp had no troubles. Got there at 7 and put right in. Got out around 2 and again no lines and the parking lot was d**n near empty.

Seems like all the water skiers and jet skis either lived there or paid the fees.
