Super User Raul Posted July 9, 2011 Author Super User Posted July 9, 2011 How does the Pixy compare to the Steez? Depends on what you want the reel for, you want to fish with light tackle ( rod, lure weight & line ) with a baitcaster ---> Pixy is your poison. Pronlem appears when you want the reel to do what it was not meant for. So comparison between both comes depending upon use, the Pixy is a fantastic reel for light tackle, the Steez is a fantastic reel for everything but the lighter tackle, not that it can´t do the job, it´s just that the Pixy does that job better. daiwa junkie Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 thanks for the reccomendation on the rods,,, any word if this reel has upgraded bearings ,,,i know the zillion type r has some sort of upgraded bearings stock,,, Quote
steezy Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Why would anyone in their right mind pay $499 for the new PX instead of buying a steez. Raul, I wish you could compare the new PX to an actual Pixy and see if it is the same reel. 1 Quote

zelmo Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I have a Steez 103HA and a Chronarch 50MG. With respect to very light lures, would the Pixy be between the Steez and 50MG, or the best of the three? 1 Quote

The best of the three, it´s a really sweet reel to fish with, but if you can grab a TDZ105H -----> Golly Molly ! Quote
bassinbrian Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 My pixy came a few days ago but haven't used it yet to really know what it is capable of. Would of today but we went frogging and tried out the new Z200. Tomorrow I'm sure to get it out and let you know. Quote

Super User S Hovanec Posted July 31, 2011 Super User Posted July 31, 2011 It's not mine....the handle is on the wrong side. I made those for a friend. Quote
wsmith Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I have two steez's now and love them. I would piock this up for lighter stuff but I couldnt live with paying that much and not have the micro click adjustment on the spool tension knob like the steez. Quote
