ripinthem Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Yeah, I'd be digging trying to find some. Sounds like that pond has too many small fish. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted July 5, 2011 Super User Posted July 5, 2011 Type in 1" orange grub on google or yahoo. It's gonna be a crappie/panfish type grub. Shouldn't be hard to find at all.I found some at .05 cents a piece on one site.I don't know what kind of brand you want or if it even matters? I use something similar but closer to a baitfish color. Super User deep Posted July 5, 2011 Super User Posted July 5, 2011 I wish I knew where the 6-12lb LMB were at. OP, did you catch your PB in Kansas? Just wondering.... Quote
OHIO Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 You were catching bass bigger than the Kansas State record? Quote
olfdart Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 Sorry I was wrong these are what is called wippers Or strippers and these were in Mo in a very large private pond. Quote
Blue Streak Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 They are a White Bass, Striper cross. They get a lot bigger than 12 pounds and fight as good as any Striper. Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 9, 2011 Super User Posted August 9, 2011 Orange looks like crawfish to bass. That is why some crankbaits have orange on them. As to where you can find them, all I can suggest is as stated above and Google orange grubs and see what comes up. Don't forget ebay, too. Good luck and have fun at that pond. It sounds just like my double secret pond where Hookingem on this site nailed a seven pound lady earlier this year. He even wadded into the water to unsnag a five pounder. Quote
ChrisAW Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Gander Mountain brand grubs have a 3" and 5" grub in orange. You can likely get them in store at any GM, but if not, they're actually made by Big Bite Baits, the "Fat Grub". Big Bite Fat Grubs. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted August 9, 2011 Super User Posted August 9, 2011 Why not try the new rage tail grubs Quote
MuffinMan Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Go to Wal Mart and buy the $4.00 grub kits, theyre is more than orange in there but you get alot of grubs for $4.00 Quote
