Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted June 22, 2009 Super User Posted June 22, 2009 i have caught quite a few fish on them even tho where i fish it's very grassy , i live in southern CA , i would be throwin' them all the time if i fished in lakes that had gravel and sandy bottoms ... Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted June 22, 2009 Super User Posted June 22, 2009 What "looks" real to you may not interest the fish. Presentation is the key. Quote

Blue Streak Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 The old MadMan craws were pretty good. I have found that craw imitators like the Paca or Rage Tail work better than very realistic ones. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 22, 2009 Super User Posted June 22, 2009 I have found that craw imitators like the Paca or Rage Tail work better than very realistic ones. Try the Rage Tail Lobster, too! This was The Bomb at Kentucky Lake last April and a lot of people, especially on this Forum, have been having a lot of success with the Lobster. 8-) Quote
The Outdoorsman Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I have a package of these, actually the first ones that came out that didnt have the weedguard. Only thrown them once. I've since switched to a jig and a tube and never looked back. the Huddle-bug does look good though. I can see them both working if worked properly. Quote
Branuss04 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 The yabbies are a joke. They may look real outside the water, but the action (Or lack of) is pretty unrealistic. +1 for the hudbugs. I no longer use any other plastic craw imitations. Although they don't include a hook like the R2S, this gives you more options to rig it, thus they become more versitile. I would MUCH rather supply my own hook to have a much more realistic craw. Quote
twitchfish Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Have been hardcore any craw for NetBait. Paca, Baby Paca, Paca Chunk, but have been throwing the Money Craw from Yum a little lately toward the end of the northern spawn with much success. I still buy every bag of NetBaits I find, but the Money Craw has been getting some play too. the hollow body reminds me f tjhe Pacas but the appendages seem to be a little more subtle and a little more durable if I am in heavier cover. I also rig all any way imaginable. Twitch Quote
