Fishing N Boots Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 In in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Where is this lake located? What were you using when you caught this bad boy, that suckers nice. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted July 7, 2011 Super User Posted July 7, 2011 Great bass Ian! My guess is eight pounds minimum. Terrific! Dripping Springs Lake is about five miles WSW of Okmulgee, OK. To my knowledge, it's one of the very few slot lakes in the state. It's a small lake, at only about 1,100 acres, but there's been more than one ten-pounder taken out of it. Quote
Fishing N Boots Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 I googled it, really liked the way it look, gonna have to make a drive soon and try it out. I also found a lake called Mountain Lake, down by ardmore, that seems to be pretty promising. Quote
Ian Schiffman Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 there was certainly no lack of structure at lake dripping springs.. That bass came out of 8 foot of water with 89 degree water temp on the flats. I was using a pig and jig rig made by my buddy mitch that owns Trend Setter Tackle, have cought alot of fish on his jigs and spinner baits check them out at www.trendsettertackle.com great local family owned company. Like I said that was my biggest bass I have ever cought 9.2 pounds What a rush !!!! Cant wait to get out and do some more fishing... Quote
Fishing N Boots Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Was this the only fish of the day? If not, how many did you guys catch and what was average size? Quote

Fishing N Boots Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Do you know what it weighed? I'm perfectly fine with catching nothing and then catching that monster. Quote
