Bassnajr Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Hey all, I am looking to purchase my first set of REAL foul weather gear. My top two choices are the Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier and the Goretex 100 MPH gear. Which would be the better choice?? The price seems right around the same give or take $10.00. Any other brands you folks might suggest??? Thanks!!! Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 21, 2009 Super User Posted June 21, 2009 guys in bass club have the gor-tex and love them. blue one will make you look like barney the dinosaur. Quote
FEVER Erie - St Clair Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 Gor-tex. You'll be glad you did! Quote
NBR Posted June 21, 2009 Posted June 21, 2009 I've heard good things about Cabella's Guide Wear! Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted June 22, 2009 Super User Posted June 22, 2009 I personally like the moss green and charcoal colors of the pq gear but have seen the 100mph put through some tough weather and the only wet part is your landing arm Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 22, 2009 Super User Posted June 22, 2009 I've worn the Pro Qualifier rain gear in some rather nasty weather and I've never gotten wet. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I've heard good things about Cabella's Guide Wear! I own a set of these insulated. Even used them ice fishing. Been in some real heavy cold rain and stayed warm and dry. They use the toughest velcro, will seal out anything. I bought mine on sale a couple of years ago 40% off in the Bargain Cave. They are a bit expensive but at 40% off I had to try them. No experience with any BPS brands but this is a good alternative. Quote
UPS VT Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I have the BPS 100 MPh and I love them. I have used them in an all day tournament with steady to heavy rain and stayed perfectly dry. I also use them for just a windbraker when running down the lake early in the morning. Quote
