BassThumb Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 The Curado 200E is on sale at $119 at Tackle Warehouse for those that are interested. Quote
jignfule Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I hope the curado E is better that the curado D. worst shimano I own Quote
WdyCrankbait Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Good greif! I got one about 4 weeks about @ $130 and thought that was a steal! How is Shimano going to sell any reels in the new line up with all these Curados going cheap? Oh-well Quote
Fat-G Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 I think a lot of people are shying away from Shimano, including myself. Daiwa reels feel better to me anyway. I thini the Curado is a "good" deal if you pay under $130 for it. Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted July 3, 2011 Super User Posted July 3, 2011 Well, I pulled the trigger on a 51E last night. Hope I don't regret it. Kind of having buyer's remorse. I had previously decided not to go with the 50E model based on a review (or 2) that I had read. That went out of my head last night. All I could think was SHIMANO....HALF PRICE. The reel may not be best in its class at its original price, but I'm sure it is well worth it at half that price. However, I did a research after buying, and got to read a review by the same person on 3 different sites. I hope mine isn't a disappointment to me. I had originally thought to go with a used Chronarch. Maybe I should have waited. A reel not like or used is too expensive at any price. I see at least one person is impressed with his new 50E. Are others as equally impressed? I'd like to belong to that group. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted July 3, 2011 Super User Posted July 3, 2011 I bought another one on this ale....it is my 3rd 50, and I would never buy another core with these in production! Quote

Fat-G Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 The T3 Ballistic has caught my attention, and will compete with the Curado. Once again Daiwa leads the industry in innovation. The Tri-Wing line guide is tight. The Pixy Type-R is probably the sweetest reel I've ever seen, if I get more into finesse fishing I might even have to look for one. But seriously, my new 50e is the "cool kid on the block" right now for me. I love this little dude. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted July 4, 2011 Global Moderator Posted July 4, 2011 I'm planning on ordering one tomorrow. I've already got a 50e on my jerkbait rod and thinking another one would look reel nice on my spinnerbait rod. The one I have casts a mile and is super easy to palm. The only thing I don't like is the small grips but I put reel grips on it and it's not a problem. For half price there is no way for me to pass it up! Quote
