Ive got a couple. They are rad.

LOL at "RAD" ;D

You two are funny.   ;D

I have one of the Shad Baby Wakes.  Once you start throwing it, you will soon realize that it's not a very big bait at all.

You WILL want to buy more and bigger.  Trust me.   :-[

Only limited by your imagination.

Deadstick, cast and reel, twitch.  On a good day, I can get the cadence down and make the thing dive and then stick its face up out of the water like it's feeding on top.

No bait should cost more than $30, hand painted, signed, blessed by the Pope, whatever.

LBH how much do you make an hour at your job? So  sombody who is one of the best bait makers in the world charges 75$ for a bait that might take 2-3 hours to make plus the 1000's of hours of development is charging too much? Plus all the expences and materials and taxes etc? .I bet you make more then that and there there are thousands of guys who do your job as well or comprable to you. 3:16 are not mass produced in a chinese factory for a dolllar or two. They are made here in the usa by one of the best in the world. If you are that level in just about any other profession you would be veary wealthy. Be thankful that you have the option of buying a bait like that. If its too much for you that is very understandable but dont judge a man and say his time isnt worth his price. If he sold his bait for $30 he would probably be making minamum wage.

Or you could just farm it out to some Korean kids. >:(

Knockoff asian garbage can suck it.

Apologies to any and all who were offended by my comment.

I know there is alot more to the cost of a bait than just making it.

Bizz- I know your loathing distaste for knock offs but sometimes you CAN built the mousetrap better.  My baits are in the hands of true slammer aficionados and the reports I'm getting are that they will happily fish this newer, more detailed bait than the original.  Just saying, blanket statements can trigger ignorance.  Do knock the knock till you've tried the knock, lol

I know, I know, it's not about whether it works or not, it's a moral thing, understood.

Russ, the above statement was made after 34 hours with no sleep.

I stand by its intent. Tact may have been lacking however.

For everyone else that doesnt realize it, I consider some of the guys that build swimbaits to be my friends. I know how hard it is to build them, how passionate they are about it, and I know that they arent making a killing doing it.

The cost of lures is totally subjective.

The 3:16 lures are certainly expensive for my poor "fish too much, don't work enough azz" :-) But on the other hand, if "I had money" I'd gladly buy 3 or 4 more.

I'd say the 3:16's are pieces of artwork, and as a bonus, they catch fish.... often BIG fish too :-)

Wish I could afford some of the "actual sized" 3:16's.

The Jr. is great..... but pretty darn small.

Peace,

Fish
