Bill S. called me up about 6 months ago to set up a trip for his son Tate. Tate is an avid fisherman from Nashville Tenn. He has caught a lot of small red eyes and smallies but he really wanted to catch a snake head. Tate had been reading about the snake heads and just wanted to catch and kill one. Between the two of them we boated about twenty three or so. Tate got some bonus bass one of which was his personal best at 4.1 lbs. It is always a treat to take folks fishing but father and son teams really put a smile on my face.

How many times did it take for Tate to set the hook? That was funny. Did you know them personally or first time meeting them? Man it sound like you all had a blast.

We have snakes head here in VA I just never tried to fish for any or yet caught one.

Endless,

This was my first time meeting them. Tate had seen me and Charlie catch them on Versus and had to cross the snake head off his young bucket list. I gave a breifing prior to hitting the water on how hard the fishs' head is and how I usually give em a couple of good pumps to sink the hook. His first snake hit under water and was running at the boat. He just kept reeling and setting the hook probably 10x. The first hook set was solid though, the other 9 were insurance. Once it was in the boat we laughed our buts off.

I know it was funny in the video how he said it, lol. Are they members of Bassresource? I bet they couldn't ask for such a great captain with an excellent personality. The way y'all carried on in video I thought you all was close friends. While you fish the everglades do you ever see those Pythons and Nile monitors? I did wish to see of his reaction on the catching the Alligator. He Might just be the first from Tenn. to do that!
