Anyone have experience with these yet? I picked one up and took it out of the package at BPS today, and it looked like decent quality. Seems like a good choice for big bass in early summer, and seemed like it was light enough to be able to throw on my current spinnerbait rig.

Let me know what y'all think. I'll probably be picking one up this weekend.

I bought a few of them about a month ago.  There sweet.  I really like them.  I throw them a mile on a 6'6" MH, but I use 20lb Big Game.  The thing with the King Shad is that it swims like a crankbait/swimbait hybrid.  It's head doesn't track straight like a swimbait, but it doesn't have the kicking wobble like a crankbait.

IMO, it looks best when its slow rolled and then you twitch it.  It completely rolls over sideways and then rights itself.  It looks alot like a crippled, dying shad.  If you have the right equipment, then get the King Kong.  It's the King Shads big bro.  It's another crank/swimbait hybrid but it swims more like a swimbait, but it can break a MH rod like a twig.

I had the original ABT version of the bait and I lost it on my first trip out.  It was already dark when I got to the lake so I didn't get a good look at how it swims but I did manage to catch a 1.75lber, a 4lber, and a channel cat that I didn't bother wieghing before I hooked into something that broke my 15lb Big Game.  Been meaning to pick up another.
