I have remained quite on this one but I was given the honor of evaluating the new Rage Tale Smokin Rooster and my preliminary evaluation is to suggest that before you throw this creature you should first spend at least a week prior to using it pumping weights.

The bass do not simply hit it they try to annihilate :)

I must have missed the memo...I thought Big-O wanted everything

kept under-wraps until the new baits were introduced at ICAST. I

think this is the third "secret" leaked this week. Is it "game on"?

::)

Wow that is sweet looking, do not know the size but should be great pitching and flipping in light cover.

Strike King has started to reveal the baits on their blog Road Warrior.

Gotcha, thanks!

Ah, the infamous "Darth Vader" that I mentioned last week.

This thing is freakin' sweet, no doubt about it.

Maybe Big O can tell the story about the head of this bait. Quite entertaining.

Thanks for ckin it out Catt....didn't know that SK marketing was gonna give sneak previews. Guess they want to stir the pot a little......

This is a flippin, castin, swimmin, Tex and Carolina riggin bait. As Speedbead mentioned, during the Roadtrip I told them that alot of the aesthetics of the Smokin Rooster bait was Michael, my Grandson's idea. Couple of years ago he asked me what I was doing one evening and I told that him I was designing a creature bait. He said "Like a Darth Vader Creature" and I said....Sure we'll make it like a Darth Vader Creature. And the shape of the head sealed the deal :) He said the two side wings look like Darth's cape and the body pattern looks like his armor. But Pa Pa....he only has one leg???? I said yep....Luke Skywalker cut the other leg off with his Light Saber...and Michael said COOOOL Pa Pa ;D

Hey RW thanks for the consideration of keeping a lid on things til ICAST, I think that SK might mention something about the Baby Craw as well, but the rest will probably be held for the Orlando Show.

The Action Video will be debuted here at BR first, for sure and with no exceptions ;)

This worm is going to make Ole Monsters and 10" Powerworms obsolete.

I get excited about things like this. I'm such a tackle nerd :)

Thanks for your confidence SpeedWorm but I don't think any worm will become obsolete because they all have there time and place......This new Thumper Worm design will be very versitile though and at the Release Date, I will supply the details via an illustrated instruction page that will explain the opportunities with it. It's pretty cool for sure  ;)

Looks goofy to me! But that can be good for high pressured bass i guess!

Goofy?

All "creature" baits are goofy looking, but some work better

than others. The original goofy creature might be the Gizit,

but now it's just a tube!

That was my first thought then I got to thinking....I've never seen a brush hog, miki, or flapping hog swimming around and they work wonders. I really think the single tail concept is overlooke for creatures, or at least the one I fish.

There needs to be a 4''-5'' ragetail grub...don't fish much but the tail design seems suitable for a grub
