endless Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Me and my brother John(Punkinseedfyretailz) Went to Hunting Run today. We probably got onto the water right before 7:00 and left a little after 2:00 The water temp started off at 79 degrees and reach 82. The weather was nice with some clouds at times. We fished mainly in the 15' to 20' working the grass growing from the bank line. My brother John ended up with 20. Biggest maybe 1 1/2lbs. 7 on topwater with the Rapala skitter walk(bluegill) and the rest on wacky rig with a trigger X watermelon red spade tail. He also tried several other colors no luck beside 1 on a purple green. He had no luck with T-rigging, Chatterbait, and jigging. I ended up with 13 for the day. Biggest for me was 4.8 that was 20" and maybe 1 close to 2lbs. All on wacky rig, Senko's plum apple and watermelon/green pumpkin laminate. I tried other colors like Senko purple/ green emerald, Berkly powerbait nightcrawler but no luck. I also landed 1 dink on a 1/8 shaky head with a watermelon red squirrel tail. I missed several with the same shaky head. I had no luck With a chatterbait or a jig. The 4.8 was my last catch of the day and had my brother trying to jinx me when he heard my drag yell. He kept "it's a pickerel, it's a pickerel" to "that's should be mine" what can I say jealousy runs in the family. It was a very good day to say the least with hardly any frustrations. Good week for me two 4lbers in three days. last Thursday a 4.9 at Travis lake. Quote

Punkinseedfyretailz Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 4lbers are nothing, do yall see the hog in the third pic from the left. that's a fish lol. it was definitely one of our better days, one more bigun would've been nice and would've given us over a 10lb stringer for the day, but all in all I have no complaints Quote
