Super User A-Jay Posted June 28, 2011 Super User Posted June 28, 2011 For those of you wearing crocs, keens, etc -- are you wearing them with or without socks? I've seen some reviews somewhere (I can't seem to find them now) indicating that some of these are not meant to be worn without socks. I'm bare foot in both. Besides, I'm not old enough yet to wear sock with sandals. A-Jay Quote
dave Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Crocs. Go to a Crocs store. Much more attractive models than the ones in most stores. Quote
shootermcbob Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Asolo hiking boots in spring/fall, teva omniums in summer. The Teva's are very comfortable, but sadly the pair I have are not built to last. they are falling apart after only two summers. The Asolo's are heavy, but are still going strong after 5-6 years of heavy use. Quote
lou304 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I have been wearing Crocs lately and they are awesome. Comfortable and good traction. i would recommend not getting black ones though, they get pretty hot. Also one thing i just found out is that if one of the rivets on the side of your Crocs breaks you can e-mail them and they will send you new ones. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted July 9, 2011 Super User Posted July 9, 2011 Teva Helm 2 boat shoes, now discontinued looking for another brand to match my mistake arch may try a Bass pro with memory foam. Columbia sandals and crocs too. Quote
aarogb Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I have the same problem you have got. After about 2 or 3 hours my feet are killing and my ankles are pretty swollen. Most of the swelling and pain are because I am so flat footed. To combat that I got some Under Armour Training shoes and I put in some Dr. Scholls which have helped a little bit but I'm still looking for something better and something that has a lot of arch support. Red Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I have been wearing Sperry flops this year. Love them! Much better than my old ones. In the colder months I wear Nikes or NB. Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 10, 2011 Super User Posted July 10, 2011 Bill Dance fishing shoes. Very comfotable and you don't realize you have them on. No problems with either my heel or knee when I wear them fishing for over ten hours in tournaments. http://www.basspro.com/Bill-Dance-Pro-Fishing-Shoes-for-Men-by-Rugged-Shark/product/72066/-1201734 Good luck. Fat-G Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 For winter, cold water fishing: Realtree thermal shirt, flannel shirt, Carhartt jacket (which is THE best article of clothing I have ever owned), Levi's, wool socks, and Wolverine boots. Warm water: Depends. Sometimes I will wear a Colombia fishing shirt, which are awesome, light shorts and Merrel hiking boots, and sometimes just a tee and basketball shorts. Quote
NBR Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I have a pair of (If I remember correctly) Sheboyghan Boot (out of business) fishing boots. They have about 6" leather uppers and rubber bottoms mush like L. L. Bean boots but they have deck soles for better traction. Now that it's warmer I wear Mally World knock off crocks. Quote
VolFan Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I want to second the Five Fingers KSO; they take a week or two to get used to, but now I wear mine pretty much everywhere. Great shoes, funny looking, but super comfortable after your feet grow accustomed. Quote
Aluma-Bass Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Crocs...may look stupid lol but comfortable and can walk in water with them and dry fast, slip on/off with ease and are light weight! Quote
Aluma-Bass Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I got pair of five fingers...also nice shoe! Look like gorilla feet! Quote
R520dvx Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Try Zeko's .... they are a cross between deck shoes and water shoes. Good grip, they drain and dry very quikly, and are extremely light ..... Quote
