During what season do yo or don't you use buzzbaits?  IE  mid summer or late summer not in spring etc.

I figured months or dates were irrelevent because of the different areas of the country.

I fish them from prespawn all the way through late fall.  My boat never goes in the water without one on the deck.

Anytime the water temp is around 50 or higher.  I know it sounds cold, but it can help locate fish even in chilly water.

Exactly right.   :D  I don't think I've fished a single time in the last 10 years without throwing a buzzbait at least once.  Last winter I caught a 5lber. in Jan., water temp was 48* at the surface.

If you see me fishin, more than likely I'm throwin (or just got done with) a buzzbait.

Like some of the prior responses, I'll use them (and other topwaters) anytime the water's warm enough. I'm not sure what that magic number is for me, maybe around 55°, give or take.

I always have a 3/8 oz. black Booyah Buzz tied on. It has a metal piece that slaps the blade as it spins. Makes a "clank" sound that bass just can't resists. I've caught so many fish on that one buzzbait. Wow, it's nuts.
