pabassin Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Looking to make a huge splash in the H2O crankbaits, buying 40 or so cranks ranging from the CRS, CRM, CRS+, & CRD Series. Looking to see what you all think of the baits! Quote
Super User grimlin Posted June 17, 2009 Super User Posted June 17, 2009 Yup,My parents brought me a big bag full of nothing but H20 cranks, topwater, jerkbaits from Texas. Those were my wedding gift. For the price they are some great crankbaits on the market. Too bad they only reside down south for sale.Otherwise i could see myself buying $20 worth every weekend when i got paid. Quote
Stringjam Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 40!?! Just MO.....I would buy one of each of the models and get to know them before dropping that much cash on them - - that way you can make sure they do what you want and are effective on your waters. I would rather have 5 cranks that I KNOW work than a tackle box full of ones I don't. Quote
TrippyJai Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I doubt you need 40. How about getting 2-3 of each model in your favourite colours and see how they go from there. Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I use H20 Cranks and very similiar in design to the Lucky Craft and they work great and get most or should I say all of mine off Ebay. Quote
pabassin Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 The reason i want to buy so many is the fact that the prices are going up, i dont want to say later on that i should have bought a bunch when i had the chance, a guy i know is getting them for me for whatever they cost (3.69), he lives in TX Quote
Blue Streak Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Take all you can get, what you don't like you can sell on eBay. Quote
Mike 12345 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Love em, fish them regularly, and feel fortunate that I have an Academy down the road. 8-) Quote
bigtimfish Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 They make a new swimbait too. I just saw them the other day and they are beautiful. I don't know about the action though. H2O makes some pretty baits, the deep cranks don't go as deep as i like but the topwaters, shallow cranks, jerk shads are great. But those new swimbaits look wonderful. Quote
The_Natural Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 The RC 1.5 knockoff is the best bait in the H20 line. The RC 2.5 knockoff has a similar body, but a larger diving lip and different line tie placement. Not the same. However, the .5 knockoff is spot on like the 1.5, and I recommend it as well. The bandit knockoffs are good, but bandits are cheap, so I'm not into them. So basically....buy up all the 1.5 and .5 knockoffs, as well as the traps...which are excellent. Haven't tried the poppers, but I've been buying Lucky Craft G-splashes on ebay for $6 Quote
