I've always wondered why there wasn't ever a tiny turtle lure.

Whenever I asked, I was always told that bass won't eat turtles.

I guess we'll see.

New Product - Bombshell Turtle.

What do you think? If nothing else, they look neat.

I fish in a pond infested with turtles and around this time of year there are small half dollar sized hatchlings all over the place. I know some bass have to be slurping down some turtles. Can't wait to buy some of these.

Definitely will be buying. A good healthy population of turtles in my favorite kayaking area.

My lake is loaded with Painted, Musk, Snapping and Soft Shell turtles.

I've never actually seen a bass eat a turtle, or cleaned one with turtles inside. This is not to say it doesn't happen. I do not think turtles are on the bass's preferred menu. Once a turtle reaches a certain size, the shell gets hard making to difficult to swallow (except Soft Shells, which avoid the surface most of the time). Bass might hit it and spit it out. Not sure. Most bass attack anything on the top like a buzzbait or Rage Shad pretty violently most of the time. That being said, I would give these a try as I'm sure the bass have not seen this type or shape of bait, not so much because it resembles a turtle. Most turtles I've seen don't swim all that fast and spook and dive down pretty easily. Looks like a cool bait though. The turtles up her hatch in the fall and sometimes my son and I walk along the shore and grab them and put them in our terrarium. The Snappers get big pretty quick and have to be released but we've had a Musk turtle for 4 years and a Softshell for 3. Cool to sit and watch, especially when they are fed. They trample eachother to get at the food.

any idea when they will be out for sale and where they might sell them the pond i fish a lot has a large population of turtles painted and snappers mostly but i have seen a few of the big 7lb+ hawgs come up and take the little guys right off the vegation they were floating on i have a feeling this will be a very good lure to have and cant wait

Caught a 2 lb. bass in May that coughed up a painted turtle about the size of a half dollar.

First time in almost 40 years of bassin' that I've ever seen a turtle come out of the gullet of a largemouth.

So yah, I'll be buying one of those lures.

Any stores carrying these yet? Still don't trust buying things online, I like to pick stuff up, hold it, get a good look before I purchase.

Don't know about stores, but these are old news over on KBF. Guys have been using them on beds and slop for real trophies.
