snapshotmd Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 The wacky rig tool comes with a screw on one end of it to hold the O-rings on. I just tried to remove the screw and it seems to be frozen in place. I squashed the tubing part of the tool with a pair of pliers... oops . Am I supposed to load the o-rings on by slipping them over the head of the screw one at a time? Or does the screw actually come off? Quote
Super User 5bass Posted June 20, 2011 Super User Posted June 20, 2011 I have the same one, I just put them over the screw one or two at a time. Always remember, if it ain't broke, dont fix it. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted June 20, 2011 Super User Posted June 20, 2011 Buy some 3/8 heat shrink tubing at an auto parts store. Cut it into strips and slide it over the worm, and don't worry about any tools or anything else. Quote

I heard it doesn't fall right and not only that the hook is exposed so I would think it would be a major snag problem. I did recently fill mine but don't recall if took screw off or just used a pen. My advice for heat shrinking tubes would be buy extras and keep them inside the house till there needed. Through out the summer all my pre-cut tubes shrunk due to the heat.. Quote
fishingkidPA Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 just put them over the screw. this honestly saved me so much money. i can get so many fish off one senko or any stick bait. Quote

matstone7 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 The screw actually is there for two purposes. One is to hold the O-rings and the second reason is to be an adjustment for positioning your senko center. Insert till senko stops, slip o-ring over. Your senko shorter, screw the screw in further till senko is centered. Quote
BadBassWV Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Lowes plumbing section, #83 o rings work great. Just pull the o-ring on the senko with your fingers. I'm averaging 13 fish per senko. Quote

Quillback Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I do get hung up fishing whacky senkos around brushpiles and buckbrush, weedless hooks help a little, but hangups still occur, just have to live with it and go dig them out, because that's where the fish are. Quote
