post-33114-0-26148400-1308464280_thumb.j I have a small 15 ft fiberglass boat that I want to put a bow mount trolling motor on. The front deck has about 18 1/2 inches of area to put the trolling motor mount. I'm wondering if that is enough space for a Minn Kota edge foot control trolling motor.

Is that enough room on the front deck to mount that type of mounting bracket or am I going to have to use a Minn Kota Powerdrive? I really want he edge, if possible, so I hope someone has some good tips to make that possible.

Looks like plenty of room to me. I have a 70lb Maxxum on my boat and I don't know if the area it's mounted on is any bigger than that. I think it only has 6 mounting screw holding it on but it's never budged through all the stumps and rocks it's banged into.

Thanks guys for the info. I'm really glad I asked cause I almost bought the powerdrive and think I may have been disappointed.

Do you got any pics of the full boat? I'm interested in seeing the whole boat. Never seen a deck like that before. What kind of boat is it?
