Super User clayton86 Posted June 17, 2011 Author Super User Posted June 17, 2011 I had a feeling they sank but that's still ok I like to let them sink onto beds and jig them tends to drive bass nutty or a pike rushes in and amputates kermy haha. I'm thinking the rage will be better for this then the horny toads I can't wait to get out tonight and try em out Quote
SausageFingers Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 The Space Monkeys are great. They were the first Rage product that I used. Now I have a ton of the Rage stuff. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 17, 2011 BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 17, 2011 The toads don't necessarily sink. It's all in how you rig 'em. Here's a video with Big O demonstrating how to rig and use them: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/bass-fishing-rage-tail.html Enjoy! Quote
Super User CWB Posted June 17, 2011 Super User Posted June 17, 2011 The Toads sink, but very slowly. Just start reeling when it hits the water. Not a bad thing though. If you get a blowup and miss, let it shimmy down and twitch it and most times you'll get bit again. Better paddling action than the Horny Toad IMO. The Space Monkey is my second favorite Ragetail bait, right behind the Rage Shad. The Monkey might be the most versatile of the Rage line. You can flip it, t-rig it, c-rig it, swim it on top or anywhere from top to bottom and even use as a jig trailer for a different look. Gotta love the Monkey! Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted June 17, 2011 Author Super User Posted June 17, 2011 I wanted some rage shad but they didn't have any all they had was craws, toads, 1 pack of monkeys, and thumpers I stocked on toads craws and the 1 pack of monkeys Quote
BrianSnat Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I was disappointed to find that the toads sank. Love the Space Monkey and I also like the Anaconda. Only problem is that two places near here that sell Rage products (Dicks and a local tackle shop) do not carry the Space Monkey or Anaconda. I have to order them online and am awaiting a shipment right now. Down to my last Space Monkey and I'm all out of 10" Anacondas. Quote
