Hey all, I'm sure this is asked quite a bit, and I found some advice on my search but would like some clarity.

I have the cranks, I have the seikos, I have the jerk baits.  I have a white spinner and a black spinner (both 3/4oz I believe)

I want to buy a stock of spinners and jigs (looking to spend no more than about $50)

What size spinners? Color? Brand?

Jigs? Size color and brand?

Looking for your personal opinions as I know there is no 1 best but I would like a solid producer as the lures / seikos are producing wonderfully would just like to expand my tackle a little to have some more options for when the situation presents itself.

everyone will have a different opinion...that being said here are my choices

spinner baits-strike king bleeding series 1/2 ounce in white, white/chart. and white/red (double willow)

jigs-GMAN custom jigs (he is a member here as well). I personally use finesse jigs most of the time in black, black/blue, brown and watermelon. I use netbait and rage baits as trailers.

good luck

For spinner baits I use War Eagle in 3/8 and 1/2oz. In Watermelon, white/chart, sundance and hot blue herring. Use Kinami Baby bass 3" and 4" single tail grubs on occasion.

For jigs, I use GMANN jigs, in 3/8oz in black and blue and peanut butter and jelly as well as watermelon. I use Net Bait Paca Chunks in an assortment of matching and contrasting colors as well as Yum chunks.

Hope this helps,

Later, :D

In the For Sale section there was just a post today with a stock of spinners and jigs. The skeptic in me says if they were great producers, he wouldn't be selling them, but I'm pretty certain that the bait monkey can beat the cr@p out of the skeptic.

I'm no expert, but I try to keep things simple. Most of my gear is either 3/8 or 1/2oz. For colors, I usually just get something close to what everyone here talks about:

Jigs - black/blue, brown/orange, green/blue, pb&j

Spinners - white, white/chartreuse, or white with bleeding accent
