Fat-G Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 HAHAHA^ oh god! dodgeguy you turned me on to Fireline and now you're a traitor! Quote
BILLYsobx Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 12# stren super knot green- inexpensive and tough as h*** Quote
BILLYsobx Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Unless your fishing cover then I use power pro 30# braid in wood or any of the mentioned flouros in this forum for rock or in my case the occasional barnacle Quote
Mainebassin Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Dont worry Fat-G ...I am still with ya on the Fireline.....14lb Crystal or 30lb Braid Quote

Fat-G Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 No I read it! I really like the Fireline alot more than my old faithful PowerPro. I didn't like the 832 at all. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted June 17, 2011 Super User Posted June 17, 2011 No I read it! I really like the Fireline alot more than my old faithful PowerPro. I didn't like the 832 at all. Really? I switched to 832 from power pro and sufix original and i love the 832. The color does bleed massively though. After counting 5 practice casts there was a very noticeable color difference between fresh line. What didn't you like about it? Quote
Fat-G Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Lost the color much quicker than most braids, thick, and it sinks. Quote
Super User deep Posted June 17, 2011 Super User Posted June 17, 2011 Get some braid. I recommend Daiwa Samurai in 55 or 70 lb test. Quote
ChazfromVA Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 im not really allowed to speak on my personal favorite..butt.. mine is listed below.. granted theres dozens of different lines out there and there almost all good.. experiment with fluro and mono and braid and find something you have confidence in.. its hard to decipher the best in this day and age but finding a good line that your comfortable with will make all the difference in the world Quote
NBR Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Without knowing where you fish and what kind of cover and structure you have it's hard to say. I fish lakes that are very clear without much cover except rocks. I use fluoro for most everything except surface lures and C-rigs. Surface I use mono and C-rigs I use braid with a fluro or mono leader. Quote
KC Bass Fanatic Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Every reel I own is spooled with various lb test of one of these: Suffix Performance Braid P-Line 100% Pure Fluorocarbon Quote

Super User RoLo Posted June 18, 2011 Super User Posted June 18, 2011 There is no 'best' line, but my favorite line is Berkley 30-lb Fireline Tracer Braid. Roger Quote
