"Everyone and their mother seems to always post pictures of their catches laying on the ground next to their rod/reel. My question is why the hell dont rod companies put inch markers on the rods them selves? Like, from where the base of the handle is and then where it rod starts lets say it's 10''...just start at 10 where the rod starts and keep going. It literally does not effect the rod in anyway and actually serves a purpose of telling these guys how long the catch was.

Am I on to something right here? I think I am. I think I have a million dollar post on my hands so i will be copyrighting my entire post. "
