After looking for a club for the past month and a half and talking to multiple people from both FLW and B.A.S.S i havent had much help. Any clubs i have found that i was interested in were full already or they just seemed like they didnt want anyone else to join. Im looking for one in the Pittsburgh area. I want one that does tournaments as well and the more the better. because thats the reason i want to join a club is to get some tournament experience. if anyone can help me id appreciate it!

I found the same thing, mostly they don't want any new members. My problem is no boat, and very few clubs have tournament draws for riders.

There is one club down in Washington, PA, but I have heard some negative comments about it - mostly about members being more worried about their bass points than anything else.

Your best bet would be to investigate the week night tournaments at Cross Creek and Lake Arthur that are open to anyone who shows up.

I fished in club tournaments for 7 years, but I got tired of all the politics. I'd rather fish for fun on my own or with someone who has a boat.

Good luck..........

Look into youghbass.com it is a small local club about 14 boats. They fish about 12 tournaments a year, with 2 over night trips and a classic at the end for the top finishers. I know the Pres and he said they are always looking to add boats. Hope this helps.

I belong to Western PA Bass. It has 2 "sides". One fishes tournaments just for the fun of it and the other fishes BASS Federation tournaments. No one is ever turned away. We meet at West Mifflin Fire Hall on the first Monday of each month from September til May. If you're interested, shoot me a PM and I'll put you in contact with the club secretary.
