Super User Sam Posted June 11, 2011 Super User Posted June 11, 2011 We have a large eagles nest in the transmission tower in our side yard. There are fish heads, animal bones and lots of bird poop under the nest. My wife has heard the eagles screaching at her but since she has no idea of what an eagle sounds like she had no idea what the sound was. She has also seen the eagles flying around the yard and our house. Can't wait to see the immature eagles sitting on the nest, looking at the world. Wonder when some of the neighbors cats start to disappear. Only problem is that these birds are NOT Awbunn Eagles. The are now LSU eagles!!!!! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted June 13, 2011 BassResource.com Administrator Posted June 13, 2011 Must be that time of year. I've seen several eagles soaring over our neighborhood recently - with a squadron of crows chasing and dive-bombing them. LOL! It looks like an old WWII dogfight! Quote
Vance Jones Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 must get pictures of them. have to love seeing the eagle make it's comeback Quote
Super User Marty Posted June 13, 2011 Super User Posted June 13, 2011 I'd gladly trade my house sparrows, pigeons and crows for an eagle. Quote
Super User Sam Posted June 14, 2011 Author Super User Posted June 14, 2011 Vance, we have lots of bald eagles in Virginia. The population is very healthy. Beautiful sight to see as they soar over the water and into the treeline. Quote

Super User clayton86 Posted June 15, 2011 Super User Posted June 15, 2011 She asks to hunt but she's a huge animal lover so I don't bother but she's still bad luck when comes to fishing at least this year anyways Quote
