So I've been using the KVD line and lure conditioner since the beginning of this fishing year ( which up here is the middle of April ). I've been bragging about how much I love this stuff so much that three or four guys from my bass club have gone out and bought some. None of them feel the same way as I do about the line conditioner. Am I totally alone on this one? Or are there other anglers out there who love this stuff too?

KVD Line & Lure is an asset, I use it all the time. I would also venture to guess that anyone that doesn't appreciate it or see a difference hasn't used as directed with the first application. Improves my casting distance and saves me some headaches with the spinning reels ad line memory. :D

Every rod, every trip.

I have not seen any noticable improvements using KVD line conditioner other than cleaning my sonar screens.

I used Real Magic last year and liked it. I haven't noticed a difference this year, using the same bottle. Does anyone know if the stuff looses effectivness when it gets old or freezes?

i decided to get some earlier this year, used as directed on the bottle, applied and let it sit over night. but i really havent noticed much of a difference, then again my line wasnt in bad shape or anything to begin with. never paid attention to casting distance, so it may have helped there. and when i went to setup my spinning reels the line didnt seem like it was as coily for long as normal after they had been sitting unused for awhile. but really, no major differences that i noticed. at times wondering if i got fleeced. oh, it seems it made my knots slip when they normally dont(improved clinch is what i used 95% of the time). im pretty sure its not user error in tying the knot, ive been using that knot forever occasionally ill tie it wrong and itll slip when i check it and i have to retie, but after using the kvd l&l an unusually large amount of knots i had to retie...

I don't and will never use Reel Magic again. It can damage reels.Someone here that works on reels and know about it more can further explain it to you.I guess they made reel magic for reel the manufacters so they can get people to spend more money on reels lol.I do use KVD Line and Lure conditioner tho on my lines. It to the best of my knowledge does not harm reel altho I dont spray it in the reel parts just my line spool.I dont know anything about cleaning or lubing reels which Is why I send it to a professional.

i've used it for 3 years now on all my spinning reels. i can definitely tell a difference. i spray it on as i spool and then again the night before. and depending how long a drive i have... i'll spray it on before i leave the house.

now that i've picked up a BC and have it spooled with 12lb Big Game...i use it on there too

I used some of my dads reel magic over memorial weekend and really liked it. I hadn't used a line conditioner before and was impressed.

When I got home I went to cabelas to get some and ended up bringing home some ardent line butter. IMO the line butter doesn't work as well as the reel magic. I'd really like to order some kvd to see how that compares.

I use KVD line conditioner...Definitely helps.

You can see the slight difference between a reel that has it sprayed and one that doesn't.

I keep a bottle in the kayak, but always forget about it and rarely use it. It has seemed to work well when I remember to use it.

I put KVD line & lure conditioner on before every trip. The line doesn't coil as much, and it doesn't backlash as easy.

I can't say if it works well for all lines, but it makes a real difference with PLine CXX and YoZuri Hybrid. I love CXX with L&L; I just like it without.

It's called Line and Lure Conditioner.

Got me thinking, how do you condition a lure and which ones need it done to?

It works well to prevent metal rusting and corroding in your tackle box. I've been spraying it in my terminal tackle box for the last year, and I have less rust in there.

I like the stuff. I use it on almost everything, every trip. It's a very good product compared to other line conditioners. It's not a great product like the Bow To Stern that Clever Innovations makes, that stuff is magic, but it's well worth the cost of two gallons of gas for a bottle of KVD L&L.

Like K_Mac said, it has more of an effect on some lines than others. Of the lines I have a good amount of experience with, I've noticed that it works especially well on Yo Zuri Hybrid and Ultra Soft, P-Line CXX, Trilene XT, and Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon. Some other lines...not so much. With P-Line Fluoro, Trilene XL, and Sufix Elite, it had less effect, but still softened the line a little. IMO, it seems to have very little effect on Seaguar Invizx, but maybe I'm imagining things.

Whether it has any effect on braid is debatable, IMO. Personally, I think an oily line conditioner like Ardent Line Butter does a better job lubricating the braid so it casts better with less noise and friction, which makes the line hold it's color longer.

Do you guys have any opinions, thoughts, and observations about how KVD L&L works on one line vs. another?

What kind of line are you naysayers using?

i use it on all my lines. can def tell a difference on the Yo Zuri ultra soft and on the McCoy.

i use it on spinnerbait skirts and on my frog legs/skirts too. keeps them nice and fresh

I'd like to know if the ingredients is the same as Armor All..I have used the KVD stuff on Trilene Big Game , didn't really make a difference IMO.
