I like these hooks for small plastics. The keeper holds plastics well but also tears the worm at the tip after nearly every fish. I use these for small worms like Trick and Roboworms but might go back to a regular thin wire worm hook. Any recommendations?

I like it in the 4/0 med. wire especially in heavy cover, weeds, grass etc etc. Just bite 1/4in. off the front when it tears.

Funny that it was made for robos and seems to damage robos worse than it does others.

I've had probably 55%-60% reduction in damage to plastics from using Owner CPS hooks and Moaner Hooks as weightless plastics hooks. It's unreal the difference they make. I've bought only four bags of Senkos this year, typically I'll have purchased between 25 and 30.

I will p/u a bag of these on my next order.

Your numbers dont match up...55%-60% reduction and only buying 4 bags of senkos means you would have only bought 9-10 bags, not 25-30. Or the reduction rate is much greater than you think... :D

Sorry, my brain is wired for this kinda stuff...

HA! Now that you say that I'm going to have to physically count what I have. Gee thanks...more reason for me to mess with tackle. :D

In all seriousness, though, I think that 55-60 is a reasonably accurate number. I think some of the purchase reduction is that I've been fishing different baits this year. I can't put the Smokin Rooster and Eeliminator down.

Those Owner CPS Lights are great for Senkos as far as making it last but I just have horrible hook-up ratios with any form of wide gap hook. It's probably a combination of lack of confidence in them and me swinging for the fences.

You do know that you dont have to swing for the fences. All I do is when I feel a bite I keep my rod high and start reeling fast with my 6:3:1 ratio revo premier reel and I have much better hook up ratio's now than I did when I tried to cross there eyes.I learned this from watching KVD on the Bass Pro's.Doing this should improve your hookup percentage by 90 percent.

Hmmmmm.....Okay, since about 90% of the time I've seen KVD on BassPros he's chucking something with treble hooks so yeah I'll agree with you there. Straight-shank or standard off-set hook...drop the tip, reel the slack, and cross her eyes. Works 90% of the time for me ;)

Well on the episode of bass pro's that I saw he was doing this with Strike King ocho's with spinning gear and he showed u how to do it with baitcasting.I do it now and hardly ever miss a fish. You can try or don't.All I can say it works for me and we are getting some rain here finally so I'm happy.
