I really like my H2O Xpress 7MH. And it only set me back $60 right now during the Rod Riot you can get one for $40 I think. It's super sensitive and lots of back bone to work worms and jigs. (thats what I use it for)

Alot of good rods out there, its according to your price range

$50=H2O rod, Berkely Lightning rod

$75=Abu Vendetta

$100=Abu Verita, Carrot Stick, St. Croix Mojo or Premier, Falcon Buccu, Shimano Compre, Lamiglas Excel

$150=Powell, Dobyns Savvy, Shimano Crucial, Duckett rod, Kistler Magnesium, Falcon Lowrider

$200=Dobyns Champion, Shimano Cumara, St. Croix Avid, Kistler Helium, Falcon Cara

Anything over $200 is going to be a quality rod. My advise, spend as much money as possible on a rod for bottom contact baits, because generally speaking, the more $, the more sensitive.

Once you get into the $150 range you are in a different world from the cheaper rods.

The rods that I prefer in each catagory are highlighted. These are by no means the only rods in each catagory, just the ones that I am familiar with and have used.

Best jig and worm rod I've fished is the G Loomis BCR 803 GLX... $220 used but worth every penny. I have a Dobyns Champion, St. Croix Avid, Shimano Compre and a Abu Vertias currently.

In the $60 range at Dick's the Field & Stream Tec Spec 7'Tube/jig rod is a MH but it is a spinning rod. You might want to also check out the Cabelas Prodigy micro guide rods which are $99 and the PDCMC705-1 is the 7' MH/F. I have both rods and both work very well and are very sensitive.
