Fluorocarbon Leader To Pline Cx Moss Green?

I am going to be spooling my new Daiwa Megaforce baitcaster with PLIne CX Premium #12 in moss green color. I want to start using Fluorocarbon leaders this season for the 1st time, would attaching a clear Fluorocarbon leader to my moss green PLine be ok for better presentation purposes, i would prob make the Fluoro leader long enough to wrap around my spool a couple of times because i re-tie lures constantly and would use up a 3-4' leader in no time. Or i might just use a small Spro Power swivel w/ 2' Fluoro leader to a Norman Speed Clip if i get sick of tying. I know PLine is a Copolymer line that is coated with Fluorocarbon so would it be a waste of time to use Fluoro leader, i really want to get the moss green color for other purposes, i do alot of topwaters like ( Skitterwalks, Hulas, Spooks, Spro BBZ-1 ).........The clear Fluorocarbon leader would be used for all my Cranks, Jerks, Jigs, Spinners and Soft Plastics, and would anyone recommend just taking the leader off if i am hitting the topwater early morning or at Dusk because Fluoro sinks and could effect plug action?

Not professional, but.....It's unnecessary to attach a leader to P-Line Moss Green, though I do suggest you step up to CXX X-Tough, and invest in some KVD Line & Lure Conditioner. Probably around 75% of the fish I catch are on CXX in Moss Green, in all water quality, from pea soup to gin clear.

I have been debating whether to get CXX-Tough or Premium, never used either and this is my 1st season with a baitcaster......My other choice would be Sufix Siege. Does KVD line conditioner really work as far as eliminating potential Birdsnests that i know I'm going to encounter?

Birdnests have more to do with your casting ability. The line conditioner keeps the line soft and supple. CX Premium sucks compared to CXX, as far as break strength and durability. Suffix is decent line. I use Siege for my trout and salmon fishing. It's too stretchy for my tastes for bass fishing, though many like it.

Out of all the Copolymer lines i have been researching to put on my baitcaster, ( PLine CX Premium, PLine CXX-Xtra Tough, Sufix Siege and Sufix Elite )........PLine CX Premium seems to be the line that is smallest in diameter, that is kinda what i am looking for in a line, has anybody used any of the above on a baitcaster and had good results.......my Daiwa Megaforce is a 7:1 gear ratio if that makes any difference with above line choices.

If abrasion resistance is a must, then heed JFrancho's words about CX because it is spot on.

If you stick with CX, I don't really see a need to use an fc leader. Every once in a while the joining knot is probably going to get caught on a guide if the knot is located at a point in the line that goes through the guides on the cast.

You probably won't have any issues working topwaters with CX either. At least I haven't.

I really like Pline, I prefer CXX for it's strength, I use it mostly in 6-12lb, CX in higher lb tests for manageability and I've never had trouble with it breaking. A leader isn't necessary, the visibility is very low with the moss green.

Yeah fo sho! The CX is great line but has an extreme amount of stretch. You won't need to flouro leader.

Amen. The small percentage of fish caught on other lines for me are only because I have larger spools that I am using up. By next year all of my gear will be spooled with CXX. I find with KVD L&L 6lb CXX even works well on spinning reels. It has a much higher breaking point than the line rating, at least in 6-15# rated diameters. I haven't used the 17 or 20#.

I happen to LOVE PLine CX. Smooth, manageable, small diameter... A very good choice for a less-experienced fisherman using a baitcaster. Does exactly what I need it to do while throwing topwater plugs and hard jerkbaits.

Yes, the CXX will have a higher break strength and abrasion resistance than CX, but you pay for that with line memory issues that CX doesn't have.
