preach4bass Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I've been reading you guys talking about those stupid $15 Lucky Craft crankbaits like they are the best things since sliced bread for over a year. Well, last week I made a trip to BPS to spend some rewards points, and finally broke down and bought one. I went out to a local pond today just to see how it (and another bait) worked, but not expecting to catch anything. Well, if you've ever thrown a LC you know what happened. I'm sold $15 is a bargain ;D Quote
Bud Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Welcome to the Lucky Craft club. It won't be the last one you will buy. Quote
SenkoSnack808 Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Yeah go figure, I think it happens to alot of people. Same thing happended to me, bought a Sammy 115 in Frog and caught 10 LG's on a point near some boat docks in a half an hour! I was wold too, good luck You will cry when you buy 5 at the same time, and then comapre the 75 you spent on those to other lures! :) What kind did you buy? later, Corey Quote
The_Natural Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Awesome...sounds like you are enjoying it! Nice things are fun to own, whether it be a nice car, nice clothes, or a high quality Japanese crankbait. It's just a bonus that they catch fish as well 8-). Quote
cbfishalot Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 I'm getting to the point that Lucky Craft is about all I want to throw. It's just that I have so much confidence in them and it also helps that the fish like them!!! The nice thing also is that everyone isn't fishing them like other baits because they cost $15!!!! Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 20, 2007 Super User Posted February 20, 2007 The LC posse wins another member. Quote
NaterD Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Every time i open my BPS catalog i see those things and get really close to ordering some but never do. I've never used one... i guess i'm Dutch ;D. Anywho, does anybody use the "pointer" that tail looks really *** to me... i think i'm going to buy one. What should i go with? (generally not very clear water) Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 20, 2007 Super User Posted February 20, 2007 Try the Moonassault, taylor made for murky water. Quote
Stringjam Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I resisted the LC charm for a few years - until fate intervened. My Fat Free Shad snagged some poor soul's Pointer 100 that was snapped off on some brush......of course I had to try it, and the rest is history. They have their act together for sure.....their reflective finishes seem to be pretty fragile, however. Quote
TravisLovett Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I went to the classic and saw the pointers and rick clunn cranks both on sale. Quickly I gave in and walked out with 6 LC lures. I threw my pointers out the same day in my personal bass pond and caught 6 in 30 minutes. Mind you that it was about 45 degrees and I wasnt expecting a single fish. Now I'm a huge LC fan and sadly...........will be spending more money on them. I called BPS and asked them if they could put me on a call list if LC lure ever go on sale. They laughed......and put me on the list Quote
