Super User Sam Posted June 13, 2009 Super User Posted June 13, 2009 I was looking through one of my fishing books when I came across an article about the Storm ThinFin flat-sided crankbait that was introduced in 1965. I looked at the bait in the picture and thought that I had the ThinFin at home. I found it in one of my crankbait tackle boxes, and sure enough, it is a Storm ThinFin T-2 blue scale Silver Shad. The lure was bought at a local antique shop and I have the original box and insert from the Norman, OK company. I paid $1.29 plus tax for it, and it is in excellent condition. I threw it a few times to see its action but now I am going to retire it back to its original plastic container and add it to my antique lure collection. Quote
Super User Raul Posted June 13, 2009 Super User Posted June 13, 2009 Old lure collections are kool. Quote
J-B Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 I have quite a few of those and I still use them. I have caught many bass on those baits. I love to use them in shallow or over thick submerged weeds. I have had the best luck with the crome ones. It is something that the fish don't see every day now days. I also think that they are a great addition to an antique lure collection. Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted June 13, 2009 Super User Posted June 13, 2009 They are still excellent. And they re-issued them this year. Quote
