airborne_angler Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 Found a Suspending Storm Thunderstick the other day and I'm a little confused. The package has the label which reads "Storm Suspending Thunderstick" It also has a bright orange label that reads "Suspendots included" Now is this a suspending model all by itself,or is it a suspending model because of the suspendots that come in the package? Super User J Francho Posted June 6, 2011 Super User Posted June 6, 2011 They are for fine adjustments and tuning, like head down/up etc. No bait truly suspends in every water temp as well. These were good baits back in the day, that proved themselves to me over the years, but were replaced by Pointers and X-Raps. Quote
Super User Raul Posted June 6, 2011 Super User Posted June 6, 2011 Bouyancy is affected by water temperature, so to make bait suspend you have to compensate by adding or removing weight, so a bait marked as suspending may not be really suspending at the water temp you are fishing it at that particular water temperature that`s why you have the dots to make it suspend. Super User Long Mike Posted June 7, 2011 Super User Posted June 7, 2011 Who is Storm Jerkbait, and why should he be suspended? Sorry, couldn't resist it. Quote
