Red Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 So recently I ditched all my line which was 50lb Power Pro and replaced it with 20lb Seaguar InvizX. I have used it a few times in the last weeks for flippin/pitchin, squarebills/spinnerbaits, t-rigs, and weightless stuff. I haven't caught any big fish yet with it but I am loving the way it performs. Casts nicely, very quiet compared to the PP. Plenty sensitive for me and it has been holding up well to the timber I usually fish in. I only have one set up with CXX still on it, but I plan to replce it with a lighter lb test of the InvizX. anything I need to know about fluoro that I may not have read yet? I know the knots need to be slobbered on before tightening and to check for frays and such often. Any tips/advice is much appreciated? Thanks Cliff Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Line and Lure is a must!!! Also, if you do any topwater fishing I would leave the CXX on one reel for it because floro sinks and will hinder the action of a topwater bait. Invizx is great line and I use 20lb for flippin and pitchin alot too. Try 15lb Invizx too for spinnerbaits and weightless lures. The line diameter between 20lb and 15lb is drastic, but it is still plenty strong. Quote
21farms Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 if you get any kinks in the line, cut it off right there as it will break very easily from that point. otherwise, fluoro is great for any UNDERwater presentation. Quote
APK62 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Fluro tends to get a bit of a bad rap. If it's that bad why do the majority of pro's use it? Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted June 3, 2011 Super User Posted June 3, 2011 I haven't noticed much bad rap from fluoro. If you like the InvizX (My personal favorite so far ) give AbrazX a try. It's got more memory sure, but it really is some abrasive stuff! great for anything around wood/timber and rocks. Quote
