Good Lures For Summer?

What are some lures you guys use during the hot days of summer? I have started fishing mornings, usually 7am-1pm

At my local lakes, they seem to love the rapala countdown and dropshots with curly tail worms during the summer. but this year im gonna try strike king's 10 in thumper to see if i can a big bass.

For some reason I seem to have to have the best luck with strike king red eye spinners on the hottest days

Soft plastics. Shad colored cranks. I fish the plastics in deeper water when it's hot. I usually run a crank that goes about 4-5 feet when retrieved. I slow it down when the temperature is really high.

If you're fishing morning, I've recently been doing well with a spinnerbait and a chatterbait in the later parts of the morning. Any where between 8-11am. Once the heat of the day comes out I slow roll the spinner or switch to shad cranks and fish them relatively slow. But plastics are a confidence bait for me, so if things are really slow I'll always make the switch.

I always start the early mornings useing a top water bait, there's no better way to wake up then having a bass explode on the surface. As the sun gets higher go deeper. Plastics will always catch fish, but for me cranking is the most fun.

1 - skitter pop's, spooks, buzz baits

2 - rattle-traps, square billed cranks, spinnerbaits

3 - t-rigged plastics (whatever looks good when I reach in my bag)

^^This. My two most productive baits in the summer have been, and continue to be, shad pattern crankbaits and T-rigged ribbon-tail worms in tequila sunrise, red shad, black and junebug. Early morning and late evening, top-water baits, especially Jitterbugs, can produce vicious strikes.

Texas rigged worm and creature style plastics, jig and craw, and spook type topwaters are all great summertime baits - if you are in summertime bass locations.

anaconda worms junebug 7 or 10inches, culprit worms firetails, tequila sunrise, shakey head with straight tail trigger x watermelon redflake, and never forget wacky worms i like yum dingers or senkos anything purple or green or mixed, and an xfactor bob n weave, pearl or something else bright.. i also like to troll a rattle bait to find schools, this has served me very well, i toss either a 1/2 oz or 3/4 oz spro aruku shad, or an xcaliber doesn't matter what kind, troll around points and drop offs with your trolling motor going on 3 to 4, i've got a 14ft jon boat not very wide and use a 35lb thrust.
