Ok, i was able to post. Are you in a club?

Nope,  maybe this year depends on if I buy a boat or not

I'm looking into a boat myself. I may buy a Topper boat. Get a Trolling motor. Not a bad setup for 850. What spots, do you fish? I'm actually in your area

I grew up in North Jersey. We camped on Swartswood lake as a kid. Many fond memories from there. Also the Ramapo river and various places in Sussex county when I felt like a road trip. Todd

We also spent a lot of time and both Little and Big Swartswood Lakes (had a cabin on Culvers Lake).

Most are too young to remember, but New Jersey set "TWO" world-world pickerel,

the first one in Green Pond, then it broke its own record with a pickerel from Lower Aetna Lake (Medford Lakes).

During that time, a statewide poll found the eastern chain pickerel to be the state's most popular gamefish.

The best pickerel fisheries in that era were Green Pond, Lower Aetna Lake, Wading River, Mullica River

and smaller waters like Bamber Lake, Chatsworth Lake and Double Trouble.

Read through this post the other day, and since it's still getting some hits I thought I would throw my hat in the mix. I reside in Ocean County, Brick spcifically. Most of my fishing is very local, though I do try to get on new waters when I can. I've got a 12' jon boat which I choose to row at this point. Workin' on the trailer to get it roadworthy and gotta get a hitch for the car, then I'll mess with the trolling motor and battery. So for now it's mostly shoreline fishing. I love to target bass, but I'm an opporunistic angler and will entertain myself with whatever I find or can learn from. Anyway, hello and good luck.

Monmouth County basser here. Getting back to the fresh after concentrating on the salt the last 7 years. Deal, Lefferts, Farrington and Assunpink are places I like to fish but my favorite is Manasquan Reservoir.

When I lived in Jersey, the Manasquan Reservoir was in the works and Monksville Reservoir had just been opened to the public.

The Hightstown / Roosevelt area was my favorite upland covert for pheasants, quail & woodcock.

Sadly, they inundated my favorite farmlands and called it Assunpink Lake. On the upside, the pickerel & bass fishing was great!
