Super User J Francho Posted June 1, 2011 Super User Posted June 1, 2011 Baitmonkey.....where are you? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 1, 2011 Author Super User Posted June 1, 2011 That's a strange looking reel isn't it? Quote
midnighthrasher Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I figured that there was a new reel coming from Shimano after seing the curados on sale on TW. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 1, 2011 Author Super User Posted June 1, 2011 Oh well, news to me. I was fishing all last week, while you guys were online looking at ugly reels, LOL. 2 Quote
Fat-G Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 That's the new Chronarch. Can't wait to get one. Or three. Quote
philsoreel Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Oh well, news to me. I was fishing all last week, while you guys were online looking at ugly reels, LOL. LMAO....b!#ch slap! Quote
philsoreel Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 New Chronarch, really?? Looks like the exact same frame as the Core and Curado 50E but with the awesome Septon paddles that are on the 200E. I bet they have bearings in them to. I love those grips. If that is a Chronarch, then those grips will have bearings and I will be buying some Chronarch handles for my Cores....and a couple of Chronarchs as well. Quote
RapidFire Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I thought that was the new Curado, hence the big sale on Tackle Warehouse for the greenies? What I do I know, I fish the new Quantum Smoke and love it. Looks slick though. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted June 2, 2011 Super User Posted June 2, 2011 Don't care what it is. All I'm hoping is that there will be lots of reels being posted on the flea market when people upgrade to the new 2011 stuff. Quote
philsoreel Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I have no idea. I was just assuming after what Fat-G said. Whatever it is, the Storm Trooper skin is awesome. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 2, 2011 Author Super User Posted June 2, 2011 Looks like a Daiwa Triforce from 20 years ago. Quote

philsoreel Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Looks like a Daiwa Triforce from 20 years ago. My buddy has one of those that looks like it's been drug behind a truck down a gravel road but it will throw a zara spook further than any other bass reel I've ever seen. It's like watching those guys with the big 10ft sewer pipes distance casting. It's a freak. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 2, 2011 Author Super User Posted June 2, 2011 I sold two silver Capricorn baitcasters to fletchero, one of them was a real freak show with topwaters. Every once in a while, you get a seriously good copy. Quote
Gangley Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 His boat is white and black, maybe the color scheme of that reel was done to match his boat. I doubt it, but I hope so, otherwise that is one UGLY reel. Something that is used in so wide a variety of conditions and environments should not be white, just my thoughts. 1 Quote
Super User islandbass Posted June 2, 2011 Super User Posted June 2, 2011 Oh well, news to me. I was fishing all last week, while you guys were online looking at ugly reels, LOL. Thank you! I can't get over how ugly that reel looks! I thought I was the only one. I hope they change that nasty looking color scheme. 1 Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted June 3, 2011 Super User Posted June 3, 2011 Thank you! I can't get over how ugly that reel looks! I thought I was the only one. I hope they change that nasty looking color scheme. Every Shimano ever made, other than the Calais and GTB, is butt ugly. I didn't know we judged reels based on looks. What does happen, however, to interest me is the spinning reel in the background. It doesn't appear to be a CI4 or Sustain. Quote
