Buzzbaits and Spinnerbaits modifying

How do you change blades and skirts of these cause I can't for some reason take the o-rings and swivels off.Also I would like to know how to take off hooks and o-rings off of baits like a zara spook and other hardbaits.Is there some pliers that I should get to do this or what.Any help on this will be great since I try and try and can't get them off.

I've got a pair of these split ring pliers they seem to work well.

I used to use my finger nails but that was a real pain. So i got a pair of rapala fishing pliers and it has a split ring remover on it and its only $10 at bass pro and i think wal-mart has them.
