bigtimfish Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I was just wondering what everyone will say. Please say on here what the bait is. Mine is a Smithwick Devils Horse. Quote
Steven Ladner Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 A Strike King spinnerbait in white has been tied on for each outing Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Jig. Been using the same ones for years now. Quote
Mottfia Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Day in day out you will see me throwing a spinnerbait. The guys in the club don't think I know how to throw another lure Mottfia Quote
Walz Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 If I am on the river - Rooster Tail or other similar inline spinner. This year it has been the 1/4oz Vibric Rooster Tail in the frog pattern. Everything hits that thing. In the past month I have caught numerous smallmouth, catfish, walleye, and a musky(unfortunetely didn't get it in the boat). My Dad even got his personal best smallmouth on it, 21.5in, 4lbs (spawned out), just this past weekend. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted June 9, 2009 Super User Posted June 9, 2009 For me, it's been any version of the Shad Rap. After all these years, it still produces. Falcon Quote
zdunham Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Spinnerbait for sure, at any time I always have one tied on one of my rods. And nothing is more fun than black, colorado blade spinnerbaits at night. Quote
CRFisher Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Mepps Aglia. It has caught me the most fish and it's a simple chuck and wind. Quote
basspro96 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I love a deep crank and a carolina rig this year....I have caught the two kickers for my tournaments. Quote
Furbit Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 My all time favorite by far is a frog. It may not be productive at all times, but it is by far my favorite bait to fish with. Quote
The Outdoorsman Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I chose the jig, I never leave home without it. Quote
Primus Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Topwater baits, in general because of the fun factor. Close 2nd would be various types of jigs, it's always fun to give that big fish a hard hookset. In terms of numbers my most productive would be a Yellow Magic popper for the topwater and a 4" Green Pumpkin Yamamoto Spider grub on a 1/4 oz jighead. Quote
aarogb Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Rebel Pop-R in baby bass color. I perfer the 1/2 oz. size because it literally cast a mile. Quote
jamarkwe Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Any plastic I can T-rig is my all time favorite... Although I haven't Used a T-rig all year.... To busy learning jerkbaits, Jigs and Drop shots this year. Quote
BenoBreath Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 3/16oz. finesse jig with a netbait paca chunk trailer. Quote
Justin0530 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Wacky rigged Senko or one of the best baits ever invented. ....the Jitterbug Quote
90x Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 New category: jigs and soft plastics I just cannot choose! Frogs are plastics!!!! Most exciting bait I have ever fished........only productive in the dog days of summer. Caught my first jig bass, now I cannot choose. Quote
mike304 Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 what i throw and what I want to throw are two different things. If I could catch fish on it all the time it would be some kind of topwater frog. i usually fall back on a wacky rigged senko when I want to catch fish, although i have been fishing with a tournament fisherman friend of mine who is getting me to expand my horizons a bit. Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I could lose all my gear tomorrow(god forbid) and just keep my worm set-up and a T-rigged worm and still be happy! It is my number one bait all year round. Quote
