I entered the Stren "Million Yards of Line" Sweepstakes online and received a 200 yd spool of 17lb Stren Flourocarbon in the mail. Haven't spooled any on yet, and was wondering if anyone else here had tried it and how it performed?

Which one is it the regular Fluorocarbon (this one is good) or the Fluorocast (this one is not)?

Yeah I entered this sweepstakes too and they sent me 8 pound test Stren® 100% Fluoro Fluorocarbon .I haven't used it yet since I just put on Seaguar Invizx line on my spinning reel. When I use it up I will try this altho I have seen some negative reviews on it on bps.

I have not used Vanish floro in two years, but back then I thought it was way to stiff. They may have changed the formulation since then and only trying it will tell. I have become a fan of BPS floro, but there are other great floro lines.

I used the 8lb Stren Flourocast and had no problems with it. Just moisten your knots and use some KVD Line and Lure Conditioner.

It's the regular flourocarbon.

It's the regular flourocarbon.

As long as you don't put it on a spinning reel you will be ok with it. I like the regular for baitcasters, it is a little too stiff for spinning. The Flurocast I have not had any luck with it on anything.
