airborne_angler Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Wondering about this bait...Ive seen the Spittin Image(similar to a Zara Spook,Walk the dog type bait) Ive also seen the Pop'n Image(A popper) What is the Swim'n Image supposed to be? A Jerkbait? A shallow Crankbait? Who has used the Swim'n Image, and what technique did you use? Quote

JoePhish Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Think Shallow Shad Rap (07) but a little heavier with a rattle. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted May 28, 2011 Super User Posted May 28, 2011 I have one, used it half dozen times, really like the look of it in the water, but the fish have yet to catch on to how good it looks. Quote
Super User Marty Posted May 28, 2011 Super User Posted May 28, 2011 The Swim'N Image has been my favorite shallow crankbaits for about 5 or 6 years now. As has been stated, it has a tight wobble and runs to 18" per the manufacturer's claim. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to have caught on with anglers because they're getting harder and harder to find. BPS used to carry them but don't anymore. You can see them and buy them from the manufacturer by going to lurenet.com, clicking on Heddon at the top and then scroll till you find them. That's a cranbait I wouldn't want to be without. Quote

catchnm Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Striper and hybrids like them. Can be twitched, but a steady slow retrieve works best for me.....no bass as of yet though. Quote
