After all the up and downs, late nights studying, after school tutoring, and all the hard work I put into it, I finally passed SPANISH!!! Because of this, this will be my first year that I have a 3.0. I have good test scores such as ACT and SAT but I never had good in class grades till this year.

Congrats Lynyrd!

I took Spanish in school. Never remembered a thing. I learned more Spanish walking around the streets of Miami than I ever did in school.....

The school system should really focus on English, as that is the language that most of the youth of today are unable to use properly.

Esta Susanna en casa? si en la comiga

All I can remember is the first dialogue from my Spanish 1 class in 1975.

Since then, I have learned most of the bad words though..

The spanish teacher was a very cute girl, my favorite class. The chingalarias were spectacular!

lol

Note: chingalarias = whatchumacallits

4.2 here, I think I deserve one too. Same languages as AJ, but latin is basically a joke it's so easy.

Let me give you high school kids some unsolicited advice here. If you aren't planning on going to college, don't read any further. Lot of kids that graduated from high school with high GPAs went on to college only to struggle during their first year. Hell, I know kids I graduated from high school with that had 3.5-4.0 and flunked out of UT. They had to retake courses at junior college. I don't know if they are still in JUCO, but it wasn't pretty. Of course some of them were uptight and didn't have fun in high school. Then they went off to college on their own and discovered alcohol and all of the fun things you can have without clothes on. That is the leading cause of failure among incoming freshmen. In my opinion. It didn't happen to everybody, but it happens to more people than it should.

My point? Don't let it happen to you. Once your GPA in college gets ruined, it's very hard to get it back up and it's an expensive process. I made a 3.5 GPA last semester and I still have an overall GPA of 3.25. It probably won't get me any scholarship for graduate school. Oh well...Freaking biology, calculus, literature, and English. :D :D

Well said, I do believe I will be able to resist the temptations of drug and alcohol abuse ect. But those new river smallies that will be calling my name might make me miss a class or two. JK
