matstone7 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 This is a big "what if" scenario that might be fun, hope you play along. Imagine if you would; your three favorite anglers, legends or fishing idols are standing in front of you. Each of them willing to take you on the water for a day to hone your skills with a specific tactic, presentation or application. They are each great anglers but, each of them are exceptional at specific applications. Who are the three anglers in front of you? Who do you choose for the day on the water? What application, presentation or application do you request their help with? My answers: #1- Bill Dance, KVD & Shaw #2- KVD #3- Lets face it, KVD is really a fish in a mans body. He knows more about finding a fish under competitive pressure than anyone. To spend a day on the lake with KVD to work on patterning bass on new waters, would be like 4 years of college. Hope you guys play along. Quote
hookingem Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 1.Shaw Grisby, Paul Elias, KVD 2.Paul Elias 3.Right now I would pick Paul Elias. I know it might come as a surprise to many but the guy is a master at deep cranking off shore structure, and I really want to hone this skill in. Quote
Red Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I'll Play 1. KVD, Denny Brauer, Ike 2. Denny Brauer 3. Jig fishin! Quote
gobig Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 1. Bill Siemantle 2. Mike Long 3. Butch Brown All of these guys catch monster fish and are known for throwing swimbaits but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Bill & Mike are both excellent tournament fishermen and are masters at merging the trophy world into the tournament world. I think I would just want observe letting them doing their thing and ask questions as they fish. Quote

Bass Dude Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 1. Larry Nixon Larry Dahlberg Ike Spend the day with L.Nixon. See how he disects the water and conditions. He has been so successful and my original fishing hero. It would be amazing to watch him work. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted May 27, 2011 Super User Posted May 27, 2011 #1 - Al Lindner: Greatest all around fisherman. #2 - Doug Hannon: Knows more about big bass than just about anyone. #3 - KVD: Powerfishing guru. A technique I suck at! My first choice would be Al; to learn everything I could in the short span of only one day on the water. Quote
