lip ripson Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Just a couple lures i just finished. I need to smooth out my paint. probably should get a new airbrush, but if anyone has any ideas to help i would like to hear. Thanks Ben for the heads up on the clear, it worked awesome. Cant wait to make some more. Quote
Fishwhittler Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Those look very good. Now go make some more... Splattering paint is usually an indicator that the paint is too thick, so it sounds like you need to thin your paint somewhat. If you're using water-based paint, you can thin it by adding a couple drops of water to the paint in the airbrush bowl. Quote
Cliff Logue Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I think you done a pretty good job on those. Try putting your clearcoat on a little thinner.....with epoxy I try to get thie thinnest coat on that I can. You won't have near as many cloudy places on the lures. Quote
