Problem is I've got a small bonepile of red eye shads stacking up in the garage that just do not run right. I've replaced the hooks/tweaked the top eye/replaced the split ring at the top/etc... Anyone have any tips/tricks for salvaging these baits or are they destined for the garbage can? There was a batch that had some of the BBs stuck or catching. I find hitting them with the handle of a screwdriver fixed most. Some never came around. If you contact SK, they will probably do something for you. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 9, 2021 Global Moderator Posted March 9, 2021 Strike King has great CS. If you get a bait that isn't working, contact them and they'll take care of you. I've got dozens of RES and I can't remember ever getting one that didn't run right. Quote

I hope he got it fixed, it's been a decade. 1 Quote
born2climb Posted July 3, 2024 Posted July 3, 2024 Just discovered two swollen Red Eye Shad in my tackle box. I know for a fact that these weren’t swollen the last time I went fishing. Which means this happened the past Monday. I left my crankbait box out on the deck for a while, switching colors while trying to figure out what the bass wanted. I shot an email off to SK to see if they’ll make good on them. Does anyone know of them replacing any of the swollen RES? A quick internet search shows this isn’t a new thing. I’ve come to like RES over Rattle Traps and Super Spots, but I don’t fish only on cloudy days. If this is a common occurrence, I’ll be steering clear of them. The one on the left is as it should be. The red one shows a little swelling. The blue one is just a full-blown fattie! Quote
Super User J Francho Posted July 3, 2024 Super User Posted July 3, 2024 This thread is a teenager now. Sounds like you should contact SK customer service. Quote
