I moved to Maryland 2 years ago to join the Berwyn Heights Fire Department and start my career as a firefighter. I have been on the backburner with firefighting and have been recently working with the radio station (HOT 99.5) and am a DJ, both mobile/wedding and in the clubs/radio. I just moved from Berwyn Heights (college park) to Urbana in Frederick. I am home in New York and did some fishing with my father this weekend and realized how much I have missed fishing, especially with him. I am on here trying to find out information about the Monocacy River which flows in my backyard practically in Urbana. I want to know good little hot spots as I know most people don't like to give their best spots up but where I come from we all share info so I'm sure this site will bring out a spot or two. I am here to look for some new friends and fishing buddies. I'm 24, FEEL like I'm practically married even though we just live together (haha) and am on my last phase to start my career as a career firefighter with the Baltimore City Fire Department. I'm more of an experienced hunter than I am fisherman but want to try to get into fishing as I understand Maryland is well known for its fish and fisherman. I also want to try to get into bowfishing for Carp. I am hoping there is SOMEONE on here that enjoys bowfishing and knows of some spots for Carp in the Monocacy or somewhere close to me in Urbana/Frederick. Just basically here to find a fishing buddy, possibly a new drinking buddy, and find some good fishing spots and then exchange a story or two on the site. I joined the hunting site for whitetail in maryland and met great people and went on some great hunts and have stories I will never forget. I have found there ARE people in Maryland who are just as nice as those from my small hometown in Carthage, NY and look forward to hearing some great fishing stories from my NEW home in Urbana, MD.
