A new partner of mine has a Humminbird 998C SI on his new Bass Cat. I told him I would read up on anything I could so we can get this thing figured out. Can anyone guide me to an instructional video/website that can help me learn about this unit? Like I said it is not mine, he is an older gentlemen and willing to take me fishing, and he won't let me give him a nickel for gas or anything. I figured the least I could do was assit him in learning his new graph. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Cliff

Probably the best thing you can do is go over to the Yahoo user group that is dedicated to HB's SI technology. great place to get answers and suggested settings.

Biggest thing that helped me was looking at all of the pictures that are in the galleries there, it really helped me figure out what I was looking at.

I just bought an 1197 and besides Bass Resource I have received a lot of great info here Humminbird SI Forums. They have an engineer from Humminbird that's available to answer any technical Q's you might have. I think the regulars there would qualify as experts in my book too.

Thanks for the info guys. I have done some reading and stuff. Can't wait for our next trip so I can see if I can actually make it work. I look forward to looking around some of the spots that I fish from my pelican. Not to mention the rest of the lake that we will be checking out from his Bass Cat.
