The "I have to eat all that" thread got me thinking how much do y'all eat like any what I call power eaters here. Guys who do the stupid eating challanges at restraunts. I used to back in my highschool and college days. My personal bests are iv done all the 1 lb burger challanges in my area plus a 2.5lb burger. Then my pb wings was in college hooters used to have all u can eat wing thursdays for 10 dollars they had a competition for who ever ate the most wings in 1 sitting won a like 65" tv. My roommates and I went every Thursday. To try and win that tv for our apt I took 2nd place with 65 breaded wings in one sitting. Need less to say my class mates knew not to sit behind me in lecture Friday mornings. But that was all in my skinny days of weighing 135 soaking wet and some how packed tons of food away with out gaining a pound now I can barely eat 2 doz wings if that but burgers still hold a special place in my heart.

I once ate a 2 foot diameter pizza all by myself for a t-shirt. It's called the garbage can special because they literally use a garbage can to bake it on. They can't buy a pizza pan big enough...

They're available. I worked for a few different pizza joints a couple decades ago, and even managed one for a while. One of them had a 29" pizza, and it was cooked a pizza pan just like the 12" ones...except bigger, of course.

Something tells me they only told you that they couldn't get a pan big enough.

I foolishly breathed in some fumes one day when I was welding some old galvanized guard rails to some steel pipes in the barn to keep the cows out of the feed ally. For two years after that certain foods and drinks tasted bad..............I'm not kidding, the worst was, any chocolate, Pepsi/Coke and cola products in general, they started to taste very bitter. Then one day...........poof they tasted normal again.

I don't over eat and I eat well balanced diet, nothing " white", sugars, flour, rice, etc.

Galvanized steel has a coating of zinc (no longer is any lead added to the process)for rust protection. Is it harmful, the fumes are but if you ate something cooked on it probably not unless you ate the lid too or maybe licked it all day long. :D

I got kicked out of the Golden Corral in Clinton, MO this winter on the way back from a trout fishing trip. I'm not a huge guy, 6' 200lbs give or take a few lbs but I can pack some food away! I guess when they put the "all you can eat" sign up you aren't supposed to take that as a challenge! :D

Eating a lot is not impressive to me. Eating something that is Unbelievable hot is.

I tried to eat 4 wings at BWW's with the blazen sauce. Two wings in and I had thrown in the towl, and I like Jalapeños raw. Looking back I really hadn't prepared myself, but this Thursday I will be ready and we will go toe to toe again.

The worst part was not when you eat them, it was the next day. The d**n things burn like hell going in and out.

Last summer I won the Blazin' wing challenge, though I was half in the bag.

Well, for 20+ years, I ate about 6000-8000 cals of the most horrendous, fat, sugary, slimy, processed garbage one could ever imagine. Apparently, my metabolism is pretty excellent, as it took me a LONG time to become obese, and on the verge of killing myself from high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc, etc.

Now, for the last 20 months, I've fluctuated between 2600 (cutting) and 5000 (when bulking) but now I've narrowed that range down to about 3000 to 4300 cals a day > all of which is just about the healthiest, cleanest stuff a person can eat. If you know anything about it, my macro balance is about 40% protein, 30% carbs, and 30% healthy fats.

Granted, nowadays, even when I'm bulking at 4300 cals, I'm still constantly starving, but that's because finally after all of these years, my digestion is working like a super charged food processing machine ;) Down the hatch, shredded and gone, and ready for more, in no time !

Oh but hey, as for the excitement, or bragability or whatever you want to call it, when young people eat a whole bunch in a sitting....

When I was about 17 to 20, I would go to those all you could eat pizza buffet places, and I'm sure I ate at least 10K cals in a sitting. My stomach would look like I swallowed a watermelon. Granted, years later, my stomach always looked like that ! :)

Never again.

I have completed the blazin wings challenge twice in two attempts, but then again I normally order half mango-habenero and half blazin for a normal meal... :D

Jedi Master Gone_Phishin Teach me the ways of the blazen' challenge you must :notworthy1:

I just saw this, sorry for the delay.

My best advice is to immediately dump the wings onto the table. They come out straight from the fryer, and the temp of the wing itself is freakin' nuts...have a few cocktails beforehand as well. ;)
