How many of you guys are throwing this craw on a Finesse jig? I'm looking to try different craw types and I really like this design. For the ones that are throwing it hows the action on it?

These are high action trailers. All of the rage stuff that I've used has been great. Caught my PB on a widegap jig with a rage craw (not baby) trailer. The baby craw works great on the smaller sized finesse jigs.

Thanks Tyrius. Sounds like what I'm looking for in a trailer. Something with alot of movement but smaller profile. Some reason on of the lakes I fish wont eat a big jig. Its got to be pretty low profile.

I haven't tried the rage craw but I have tried net bait trailers. Their paca chunks are spot on when it comes to action. Whether you need a small trailer or a pretty big one they got it. And they have it in almost every color you could ever need.

You got the same problem i do.Paca craws are one the the smaller baits out there,but even those are sometimes too big.My best were the FLW craws...don't make them anymore but those seem a perfect match for finesse jigs.I'm currently looking for a substitute right now too.

I still don't have much success on rage tail products.... :unsure:

I use the zoom critter craws, lil critters, and eakins. When the water warms the bite on these stop for some reason. i've used a bait like the paka and it worked pretty well. Those were discontinued and leaving me with the search of another craw style.

The tiny paca works well too. I think (not a scientific fact) that the rage products are more durable than the paca stuff is. The claws seem to stay on longer. I prefer the action on the rage stuff too.

I use both baby rage craw and paca trailers in mini and regular size the baby craw I throw on a strike king shakey head football jig. I rig it weedless I put it threw like 3/8th of a inch pop the hook out run it the rest the way and hook it weedless it makes like a "Z" shape and looks 99.9% real like a little craw postured up in defense I slam smallies on this rig draging a few feet or inches then pop it and make it swim with 2 or 3 jerks then let it sit count to 5 and repeat 9 times outa 10 around 3 or 4 seconds I fell that thump if not its when I start that drag

Whenever I throw a finesse jig it has a Baby Craw on the back. The claws put off a pretty good little kick. Perfect size for a finesse jig as well.....the slim body design doesn't bulge the skirt out like other trailers tend to do and does not get in the way on a hookset. I've found that to be a very important factor on a finesse jig with a smaller hook.

I use both Paca and Rage baby. That said, more and more I find myself leaning on the Rage Baby for small profile needs. The reason being is that when you move the craw at a crawl, the claws move just enough to look like it's alive. It isn't too much. There are times, though, that fish want to see the bait with more movement and hopping the same jig with the same trailer on it will give me that. I used to have a lot of faith in the Zoom and Paca for smaller profile with a little more subtle action, not so much anymore. The best thing about Rage Baby's, too, is that on the drop with a 3/16 or 5/16 jig they are absolutely perfect, the claws move "just so" and the profile is enough that it will slow the rate of fall. Two months ago, you could have asked me about five different situations and I would have given you five different craws. Anymore, all I need is Rage Baby, Craw, and Lobster in my colors. I have not found one situation in which they would be outperformed by another, they're just that effective.

Rating: 10

Fish the Rage Tail Baby Craw T-rigged on a 1/0 bait hook or 2/0 EWG;

1/8 oz bullet weight, unpegged. Be careful...Last year at Pickwick

Big O and our soldiers caught 140 smallmouth and three PBs during

the flood! Most of my 5+ last year were caught on the Baby.

Kent, that's EXACTLY how I fish it. Great little bait - a nice downsized alternative to the regular craw.

I stopped in the local shop and went through their rage product. Nada. Not a single one. I told them to get some in here. LOL
