GrundleLove Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 ...and realized I had no idea that wild hogs got that big! So I decided to google "worlds largest hog" and stumbled upon this. and nearly crapped my pants after seeing it. I know this is a few years old but this cant be real life can it? this is probably the scariest thing I have seen in a long time and i can not even imagine seeing this thing in real life in the woods somewhere. it looks like a mythological beast. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,275524,00.html Quote

My question on that hog show is that where do they put these feral hogs after they trap them? Why don't they just kill them and be done with it? Seems strange to put yourself in danger trapping them and then releasing them somewhere else. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted May 19, 2011 Super User Posted May 19, 2011 http://www.monsterpig.com/negative_comments.htm this link brings you to the negative comment section of the website THE DAD put up regarding the "monsterpig". Go about halfway down to the email with all of the f bombs blacked out and read starting there. That email and the next couple made me laugh out loud, so much so that after my wife asked what I was laughing at, and I read her the emails, she said I was sick. Me, not the emailer or the pig hunter. Quote
OHIO Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 I heard about this awhile back. I'm pretty sure it didn't weigh over 1,000 pounds, but more like 800. I was under the impression that it was a cross between a wild bore and a domestic pig, but I don't know for sure. I also think that the kid's dad raised it and then let it loose for the kid to kill. Did a bit of looking over lunch. The kid is standing way behind the pig. Estimates are 5-10 feet behind it. That makes him look smaller and the kid bigger (same as holding a fish as far away from your body, and as close to the camera as possible). The pig was actually raised on a farm and sold to a game preserve 4 days before the kid hunted and killed it. Quote

You can see that his arms are resting on his knee and not the pig. If he was leaning on the pig he wouldn't be able to have his knee the way that it is and you wouldn't be able to see it. Check his left elbow. Quote

Captin Obvious Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 WHY MUST YOU CRUSH MY DREAMS OF RIDING A GIANT PIG. Its no joke that pigs grow big enough in the wild to ride them so don't worry your good. Quote
tyrius. Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 WHY MUST YOU CRUSH MY DREAMS OF RIDING A GIANT PIG. It's still big enough for you to ride. They just lied about the actual size and deliberately made it appear bigger than it is. As for dreams of riding a pig. I'm going to with hold my comments. Quote
