fishingkidPA Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 since i didnt have school today due to a school board election i head out to one of my favorite small lakes. I was flippin a rage craw on a jighead and picked up one, after about 30 minutes of not getting another i switched to my spinning outfit that had a weightless trigged trickworm in red shad color. I was just fishing it parallel to the bank picking up fish after fish on their beds. Got some nice sized ones, most were about 2 lbs, some under some over a tad but it was a fun fight on the my ML. that subtle horizontal fall really got them today, maybe on my lake it will out-fish the senko here are pictures of some of the fish i caught. feels good to get back in bass fishing, ive been trout fishing for the past couple months so boy it feels good to land a bucket mouth. Big-O Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 WTG... For the spawn, the moon phase and water temps are RIGHT for much of the mid to upper part of the country and the bite should be good for the next few weeks or longer depending on your location! Slow fall and patience in spawning areas is a good way to capitalize on them too but don't forget keel weighted soft plastics to assist you with the horizontal fall... It can add versatility to the look of your presentation as well as allow the opportunity for a swimming motion if necessary to attract additional bites. Sounds like you have'em figured out just fine Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
