lynyrdsky1 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 This past weekend I was in a 2 day tournament at Pickwick and it was nothing great but still ok. First day caught 2 for 4.55. Could of done better but I lost alot of good fish on a carolina rig and also lost one good fish right near the boat ramp. The fish wrapped itself around another boat, then around a post, then around a log in the water and once it got to the boat it came off my lipless crankbait.... I was hurting because of that . Second day I weighed in 5 fish for 5.77. Also could of done better cause I hooked some good fish but again, lost some on carolina rig. But, I was able to weigh in 5 fish which I had never done before. The group of guys I fished with were amazing as always and even after everything still had a good time. Can't wait for the next one. Super User Lund Explorer Posted May 17, 2011 Super User Posted May 17, 2011 And the hand? I'm really not trying to pick on you too hard, but you are starting to remind me of a guy I went to high school with. Whatever you do, I wouldn't follow his career path. He tried the butchering trade until he could only count to about 7 1/2 if you know what I mean. So..... When and where is the next stop? Where you at in the year-to-date standings? 1 Quote

Where you at in the year-to-date standings? Oh the hand is fine doctor said it healed on its own. Next stop is Pickwick again next month and I think Im 7th or 8th in standings right now. If I'm in the top 6 i get to go to the State tournament. Quote
Big-O Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 WTG... I'm not sure of areas or types of water you fished there but maybe the next time on Pickwick, you can ck out the the drops on points and rocks or drastic contour changes in the bottom structure to locate not only more but bigger bites to help you upscale your bag... I'm no authority on that lake, but I've had the opportunity to fish it a couple of times over the last 2 yrs with some success Good luck and fish safe! Big O www.ragetail.com Quote
